This Wild Variety is Much more Hardy and Draught Tolerant than it’s Somniferum Relative.
Their Seeds are slightly Smaller than any other Somniferum Seed, and is Dark Brown in Color.
The Flowers are Multi-Colored -Some are Lavender and some are Red.
The Vegetation varies slightly from Somni’s, and are usually only 2′ to 4′ Feet in Height.
Believed to have been the ORIGIN of ALL Papaver Somniferum

Their Pods have a very unique Appeal to their Aesthetic as seen in the Photos- and although they are much Smaller in Size, don’t let their Size fool you!!
