Planting Instructions:

Dill\’s Atlantic Pumpkins grow best in warm, loose, fertile soil. Seeds should be planted after danger of frost has passed. If your soil lacks organic matter, mix a shovelful of manure or compost in each hill. Plant seeds in hills 10 feet apart and thin to 3 plants. To plant in rows, plant 3 seeds every 3 feet with rows 10 to 12 feet apart. Thin to one plant every 3 feet. Maintain a medium temperature of 75f during germination and keep moist but avoid over-watering. Harden off plants gradually before setting out in garden. Seed should be planted an inch deep. A side dressing of a tablespoon of complete fertilizer per hill when plants vine and again at fruit set will improve production. Watch for pests which will decrease yields. Make sure the plants have adequate moisture and weeds are controlled. Harvest the pumpkins before frost by cutting them from the vine. Store in cool, dry place to maintain their quality for weeks.
